Legacy Gifts

You can leave a lasting legacy by designating the Military Historical Society of Minnesota in your will, trust, retirement plan, or life insurance policy.  It will cost you little or nothing now and the museum benefits later.

  • Designate a specific dollar amount, a specific asset, or percentage of estate assets (e.g., stocks, bonds, real estate, art, etc.) as a charitable gift to the Military Historical Society of Minnesota. 
  • Name the Military Historical Society of Minnesota as a beneficiary of your IRA or vested pension.
  • Purchase a new life insurance policy naming the museum as the beneficiary or as a partial beneficiary.  Name the Military Historical Society of Minnesota as a beneficiary of an existing life insurance policy or owner and beneficiary. 
  • Talk to your financial advisor/legal counsel about naming the Military Historical Society of Minnesota in a Charitable Trust.  Encourage family members and friends to consider doing so as well.
