Joined the Navy and went to boot camp Great Lakes, IL, Naval Supply Depot Bayonne, NJ, Naval Station Boat Shed Guantonamo Bay Cuba, USS Skylark ASR 20, EN "C" School Great Lakes, IL, USS Vulcan AR5, USS Fairview {E}PCER 850, USS Mazama AE9, IT"C" School Great Lakes, IL, Naval Reserve Center Dubuque, IA, USS Askari ARL 30, USS Direct MSO 430, FMAG New London, CT, USS Waterford ARD 5 where I retired as a Chief Engineman in 1977. The tour on Mazama was at Yankee Station rearming war ships during Nam war and the tour on USS Askari was on the Mecong river repairing river combat boats.

Narrative

While in the Navy I made an Around the World cruise through both Canals, became a Shellback, did a North Atlantic cruise, Med cruise, 2 yard periods, 3 Caribbean sea cruises and met and still have many friends.
