Narrative

Filled into the 36th Division (Texas National Guard) from IL, Deployed from Newport News, VA, to North Africa, then to Italy. Wounded in action during night assault by the German in France, awarded Bronze Star for actions and Purple Heart. Moved to Cedar, MN (Anoka County) in February 1953 and passed away March 1997. Buried in Oak Grove Cemetery, Oak Grove, MN.
