NarrativeI have more data in screen shots, ancestry, I don't know it all off the top of my head. He was a Quartermaster in battle of the bulge, he was captured by Germans and taken to pow camp, lost 50 lbs. Says Mar 2 1945, I suspect he was rescued. He would hardly speak of war till his 70's as I bugged him. He was embarrassed because captured and early on. I said it was nothing to be embarrassed about. I can try to add to his info later. I've done lots of research, but I don't know much of army stuff. I am a Palmer MN. Historian. And have several others to add and some Civil War men. |
