Here are some maps that detail various aspects of Minnesota's military history. More maps will be added as they are generated.

Minnesota Casualties During World War I

This map shows the hometown of each of the Minnesota veterans who died during World War I. By clicking on the marker for the hometown, you can see information on each the veterans who gave their lives such as their name, rank, and branch of service, and the date they died. You can also see the cause of death according to the following key:

  • KIA = Killed in Action
  • DOD = Died of Disease
  • DOW = Died of Wounds
  • DOA = Died of Accident
  • MIA = Missing in Action

Many efforts were made to verify the accuracy of this information, but there is some information still missing.
