NarrativeTechnical Sergeant (TSgt/E-6) Mark D. Himmer entered service on 19 January 1991 and left the Air Force/MN Air National Guard on 18 January 2006 (15 years of service). TSgt Himmer entered service as an Air Force Combat Arms Instructor (Range Instructor) and then was transferred to the Security Forces Career field after a few short years. He spent a number of years with the unit in an Active Guard and Reserve (AGR) title 32 Active Duty role. He deployed to Guam in 1999. He was a Phoenix Raven Apprentice with the 133rd SFS from 1999-2001 and went on missions in Central/South America and the Caribbean, where he supported missions: Coronet Oak and Coronet Nighthawk. He was sent to Incirlik Air Base, Turkey right after 9/11 to provide Security at that base. In 2001 and 2002 he deployed to MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, FL (Central Command HQ's) twice in support of Operations Noble Eagle/Enduring Freedom/Iraqi Freedom. He attained the rank of TSgt/E-6 and held positions such as Combat Arms Supervisor/Armorer/Ammunition Account Manager/Fire Team Leader/Assistant Squad Leader/Assistant Flight Chief and attained the Security Forces Craftsman Badge (7-Level). |
