Digital Collections

The Minnesota Military Museum Archives has digitized some of the holdings for easier use by our patrons. Though we have many more items than are shown here, these are some of the items that we currently have in digital form. The content is being graciously hosted through MN Reflections, a service of the MN Digital Library.

WWI Honor Rolls

These items generally give a narrative history of World War I activities in the county or area covered by the publication, and provides a photograph with a description of those from the area who fought in the war.

The online content for this collection is arranged with each company having its own file.

Muster rolls are used to ensure that everyone in the unit is reporting for duty when they are called into active service. It is considered an official listing of those assigned to the unit and may include other information such as height, hometown, and remarks about their service, among other things.

These are a selection of films that were digitized with the support from a MN Legacy Grant. The films depict various actions including the construction of Camp Ripley in the 1930s and several units being reviewed during training.
