NarrativeDied of Spanish Flu. Buried Lakeview Cemetery, Windom, Cottonwood County, Minnesota. Plot: N-87 Entered the service June 24, 1918 and was sent to Camp Grant, 111., where he was assigned to Co. C, 161st Depot Brigade. After about six months' training he was taken sick with influenza and pneumonia and died Dec. 7, 1918. His body was shipped to Windom and was buried in the Lakeview cemetery. Private Nelson was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Hans Nelson and was born Sept. 19, 1894. |
