NarrativeEntered service 28 March 1918 at Fargo, ND. Sent to Camp Dodge, IA. Transferred from Company F, 2nd Battalion, 163rd Depot Brigade to Company A, 138th Infantry Regiment, 38th Division. Sent overseas on 29 July 1918. Private Handegaard was killed in action by shrapnel in the Meuse-Argonne offensive on 26 September 1918. He was buried in the commune of Vouziers in France. |
